Medical ID allows users to create medical profiles that can be easily accessed from their lock screen. These profiles provide vital information like allergies, blood type, and emergency contacts, which are essential for first responders, medics, or medical staff. Additionally, the app enables users to share their location with emergency contacts even when the app is closed (for a maximum of 24 hours or until sharing is stopped).
The display and accessibility of medical information on the lock screen are made possible through an accessibility service that is a core feature of the app. This service adds a widget to the lock screen, facilitating access to medical data for individuals with disabilities and in case of emergencies.
This is the free version of the app. Upgrading to the premium version grants users access to additional features and helps support the ongoing maintenance and development of the app. It's important to note that the upgrade is a one-time purchase.
